BFL clubs returned to the pitch after holiday break!

Holidays came to an end and BFL teams restarted their performances in domestic leagues.
Although Lithuanians kept playing during the holidays. Before the new year Vytis beat Radviliskis away from home with the score 5:0, and the game between Gargzdu Pramogos and Panevezys was postponed. On the first days of 2021 Gargzdu Pramogos lost to Radviliskis 3:5 and Vytis continued their winning streak by outscoring Dainava 6:2. Both Lithuanian BFL clubs faced each other on January 9 in Gargzdai and the champions got a 2:1 win in a tight game.
Estonian Saaliliiga was supposed to restart with the game between Cosmos and Narva United last Wednesday but it was rescheduled due to the positive COVID-19 tests in Tallinn’s team. Cosmos will be held on quarantine until January 17.
Belarusian Stalitsa had a great chance to start 2021 with a trophy: Minsk’s team had two dramatic games in the Final Four of the Belarusian Cup. Dmitry Kameko’s guys beat BCH in semi-finals’ penalty shootout (2:2, 5:3 pen) and advanced to the final where they faced another club from Gomel – VRZ. Regulation time ended with a tie 2:2 and unfortunately Stalitsa lost in a penalty shootout (3:4).
