With this material we begin to cover the preparations of BFL organizers and participants for a new season.
Today an online conference of BFL participating clubs management was held, where two topics were discussed in fact: the completion of the 2019/20 premiere season and the 2020/21 season schedule. Boriss Shipunov, CEO of BFL, after receiving the information from each conference member about the training schedule of clubs ( including the protocols recommended by WHO) announced, on behalf of the League management, the preliminary decision to complete the current draw in its usual round format. Perhaps, another option will be proposed to the club managers and it will be depends on a current epidemiological situation in the member countries of BFL.
While discussing the calendar for the 2020/21 season the majority of the conference participants expressed their support in favor of early agreement of the proposed schedule of games in the BFL with the national Championships calendars. Moreover, the clubs are ready to take over part of the negotiation process with their Federations in terms of agreeing their uniform game load considering the BFL calendar. In general, the club managers evaluated positively each other’s aspiration to overcome the organizational difficulties as well as expressed their willingness to follow to the Sports, Marketing and Communication Regulations that have been developed by the League for the 2020/21 season.
