Champions League starts today!
Participants of Baltic Futsal League will play their first games in the Champions League this week.
Vytis will host Swedish Hammarby today. Lithuanian team is unbeatable in their domestic championship, they managed to beat Dainava (7:4) and Gargzdu Pramogos (4:0), so they must be full of confidence. Though Hammarby is a solid team either: after a bad start of the season they got three wins in a row and returned in top-3 of the standings.
Petrow will start their Champions League journey on November 28th. Just like Vytis Alexander Savintsev’s team haven’t lost a single game in Latvian Virsliga: 4 wins in 4 games and goals difference is +29. Last week Petrow got a confident win against another BFL participant Rezekne (8:2). Petrow’s opponents Slovakian Lucenec is in tough spot at the moment. They haven’t played any official games since October due to the epidemiological situation in Slovakia. So it could be an advantage for the Latvian team.
We’d like to wish Vytis and Petrow good luck in such important games!
