Eventful February

The first half of February became a landmark for the Baltic Futsal League: our delegation has visited Minsk where the draw for the Champions League final four was held, and then in Madrid the BFL Directorate met with the management of the best League in the world – Spanish LNFS. During the interesting dialog the parties exchanged the helpful information, which can form the basis of our League’s further development in the field of communication and marketing.

On February 9, at the hotel Radisson-Olympia in Tallinn a press-conference of the BFL Directorate was held where the Estonian press found out about  partnership agreements concluded with FinApps and SELECT companies, as well as the BLF plans for the last 7th  round of  this season which will be held on April 11th  in Tallinn.

The paired playing of Riga team “Petrow , which smoothly dragged the fourth round into the fifth, has completed the first half of the month. First, at the away game the residents of Riga defeated “Kosmos” from Tallinn with the score 9: 1. Already at the warm-up we could see the mood of the guests to win: all the exercises were done at a game pace, they didn’t pity a goalkeeper and they were dangerously in collisions. One cannot say that the hosts didn’t want to win, but two ridiculously conceded goals in the first minutes predetermined the outcome not only of the half, but also of the entire match. On the court in the team “Petrow” the guys from the first quartet of the Latvian national team were leading by Herman Matyushenko.

After three days off, Riga residents in Jelgava welcomed one of the favorites of the first BFL drawing – the Minsk team “ Stolitsa”. In all cases the match should have turned out to be persistent and very interesting. And so it happened, but occasionally. When the residents of Riga had an impact link on the sports ground, it was a counteraction game. As soon as the guys came out of the second and third lineups – the advantage of “Stolitsa” looked more than obvious. And since in this match the playing time among  three links of “Petrow” was distributed equally, the result on the scoreboard is 7: 3 in favor of the Minsk team.
