Interview Jonelys

Mindaugas Jonelys,  head coach of Lithuanian Gargzdu Pramogos, shared his impressions about the game of his team against MFC Stalitsa in the first round of  Baltic Futsal League. The meeting ended with the defeat of the team from Lithuania with the score 1: 7.

Moderator: With me here is the head coach of the team Gargzdu Mindaugas Jonelys and I want to start with pleasant -to be pleased your only ball. How much did you expect such a result?

M.J.: I expected such a result, maybe we won’t miss so much. There was an opinion that it can be less, but the result should be the same, because MFC Stalitsa plays already at the peak of its form, and we have only the first game. We have young guys. MFC Stalitsa is a professional club. Let’s just say they could have created more chances. And today MFC Stalitsa won, I think, it had to win.

Moderator: you probably already had a new task reformulated during the break. What did you say to the players at half-time?

MJ.: The most important thing is that some players are burned out. They didn’t even make the move I asked for. They’re young, stress, everything affected. If they even make the wrong moves, the ball doesn’t go, ‘there can be no other result.

Moderator: Did you manage to watch more Baltic League opponents?

MJ: I watched the first round. We know Narva United, TFK Rezekne, FK Vytis because we play in the Lithuanian championship. I think the next games we’ll spend better because the main players will be added. And we have some players playing big football. They have already finished the championship and I think after two weeks of normal work we’ll return to the form in which we were last year.

Moderator: Did you manage to feel, not from a sports point of view, but from a mood point of view, what  Baltic Futsal League is?

MJ.: I think it’s a professional League in all respects. And how to meet, and how the competition is held, all is at the highest level.

Moderator: We wish you good luck in the next rounds! Thanks!
